The first two weeks of the new year at work have been riddled with unbelievable client demands:

Bicycle Soccer

This wouldn't really work very well in Seattle with all the rain and all, probably be too slippery ... whoever invented this really wanted to make a challenging sport.

McGyver's second road trip

Turns out birds love road trips: roaming around the car unattended, watching the snow come down while driving over the pass, experiencing what happens when I5 closes and it not only takes two hours to get off the the freeway but also the fear in his owner's voices as they find out NO hotels have availability ... It turned out ok, McGyver got to attend his first sit down "restaurant" (The Black Bear Diner) and stayed in the only available under construction room at the last hotel in Yreka, CA. Good times, thankfully that year is behind us now and on to more adventures.

Nose warmers are NOT useless

I knew someone would finally invent this, thank you from all of us who suffer from runny noses as soon as it's 60 degrees outside!

3 little Santas in Seattle

Ah, the humane treatment of dogs, we must clothe them this time of year and they were really enjoying all the attention in their Santa outfits - I'm sure it wasn't too bad receiving a few dollar bills in their jackets along the way.

Urban Dictionary's take on a Seattle-ite

Came across this today on Urban Dictionary:

1. Any person living in, or within ten miles of The city of Seattle, WA
2. Is easily agitated when tourist asks to see the original Starbucks, Microsoft or Kurt Cobain's house. True Seattleites do not care for these things.
3. Considers Seattle to be the best city on Earth.
4. Is a pretentious coffee snob due to the thousands of delicious coffee houses and rostaries that surround them.
5. Any person who knows not to visit Pike Place Market on a Saturday.
6. Any person who was disappointed by EMP (unlike the inbred hicks from across the country who come to visit it).
7. Anybody who knows that "eating dicks" means eating burgers.
8. Any person that hates it when Californians drive through Washington and cry about the rain and the cold.
9. "Too good for an umbrella"
10. Phyiscal characteristics may include pretentious goatee and somber paleness. Unmatching "hipster" clothes are also a must.
11. Typically a city that is completely devoid of soccer moms.
12. One who rarely sees natural sunlights, esp. from September thru July.
13. Often refers to someone, who is computer savvy and possesses worthless stock options.
14. When greeting one, they rarely acknowledge you or return the gesture.
15. They own a apple laptop computer which in their mind represents that they are artistic or unique.
16. Watches crappy sports teams
17. Lives in perpetual rain
18. Drinks A LOT of coffee
19. A resident of Mercer Island or Bellevue, for example, are not "hip" enough to be considered to be true Seattleites.
20. A mildly derogative term for someone who consumes an excessive amount of coffee. This definition developed under the common conception that all Seattleites do is drink coffee, listen to indie rock, and act snobby.
